Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data VAYDHARA collects when you use this website or order from us on WhatsApp, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. We have written it to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

Who we are

VAYDHARA is a partnership firm based in Jetpur, Rajkot district, Gujarat, India. For this policy, VAYDHARA is the "Data Fiduciary" — the business that decides how your personal data is used.

  • Email: contact@vaydhara.com
  • Phone and WhatsApp: +91 85117 45558 (8 AM to 7 PM IST)
  • Address: Juna Pachpipla Road, Near Krishna Prints, Jetpur, Rajkot district, Gujarat, India

The short version

  • You can browse the whole website without giving us any personal data.
  • We do not take payments on this website and never see your card or bank login details.
  • Orders are placed and confirmed over WhatsApp, so we see the WhatsApp number and name you message us from.
  • Analytics runs only if you click Accept on the cookie banner.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What we collect, and why

When you browse

  • Your cart, wishlist and recently viewed items are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back. They stay on your device until you sign in or clear them.
  • Your cookie choice (accept or decline) is saved in your browser so we don't ask again.
  • Security data. To stop spam and abuse of our forms, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to limit how many requests one connection can make. It is deleted automatically within about an hour. Sign-in and some forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at technical information about your browser and device.
  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you click Accept, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages and products people look at, what they search for, and when they add items to a cart or wishlist or start a WhatsApp order. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address and device information. If you click Decline, it never loads.
  • Order-intent counts. When you tap "Order on WhatsApp", we add one to a daily count and to that product's count. These counts contain no personal data.

When you create an account

You can sign up with your email and a password, with your Google account, or with your mobile number and a one-time code (OTP). Depending on the method, we receive your name, email address, mobile number and profile photo. We use them to run your account, save your cart and wishlist across devices, show your orders, and fill in your details when you order.

You can also save delivery addresses (name, phone, address, landmark, city, state and PIN code) and choose whether you want to hear from us by email (your marketing preference, with the date you gave it).

When you order on WhatsApp

When you tap "Order on WhatsApp", your phone opens WhatsApp with a message listing the products, quantities and prices. Nothing is sent until you press send. When you do, we receive the message together with your WhatsApp number and name.

To confirm and deliver your order we record: your name, phone number, email (if given), delivery address, the items, prices, discount, shipping charge, total, order status, courier and tracking number, and any notes you or we add. We also keep a customer record that links your orders to your phone number, with your order count and total, so we can serve you better when you order again.

We use these details to confirm availability, agree the delivery and payment method with you, pack and ship your order, give you tracking updates, handle returns and exchanges, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.

When you track an order

The order tracking page asks for your order number and phone number and shows only the status and tracking details of that order.

When you contact us or subscribe

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional) and message, so we can reply.
  • Newsletter: your email address, where you signed up, and that you agreed to receive it. We use it only to send news about collections and craft stories.

When you write a review

Signed-in customers can review products. Your review, rating and the name you choose are shown publicly once we approve the review.

What we don't collect

We do not ask for or store card numbers, UPI PINs, bank passwords or OTPs for payments. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health, biometric or financial account information.

The legal basis for using your data

  • Your consent — for analytics, the newsletter, and when you give us your details to place an order, create an account or contact us. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights below). Withdrawing does not affect what we did before, and we may still need to finish an order you have already placed.
  • Legitimate uses allowed by law — for example to keep records that tax and accounting laws require, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

Who we share your data with

We share only what each party needs to do its job:

  • Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) — hosts this website, our database, sign-in and file storage, and provides reCAPTCHA. Our database and files are stored in Google's Mumbai (India) region; the website itself is served from Google's Singapore region.
  • Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — the messages you send us travel through WhatsApp and are covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
  • Courier and delivery partners — your name, phone number and delivery address, so they can deliver your parcel.
  • Banks and UPI apps — when you pay us by UPI or bank transfer, your bank or app processes the payment under its own terms.
  • Government and law-enforcement authorities — when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We use established providers that protect data with appropriate security, and any transfer follows Indian law.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires:

  • Account, saved addresses, cart and wishlist — while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete these, except anything the law requires us to keep.
  • Orders, invoices and payment records — as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
  • Contact messages — until your question is resolved, and then for a limited time in case you follow up.
  • Newsletter — until you unsubscribe (email us and we remove you).
  • Reviews — until you ask us to remove them, or we take them down.
  • Security (hashed IP) records — deleted automatically within about an hour.
  • Browser storage — stays on your device until you clear it.

How we protect it

  • The website and all connections to it use encryption (HTTPS).
  • Access to customer data is limited to authorised members of our team, based on their role, and is protected by sign-in.
  • Changes to orders, customers and settings are recorded in an internal audit log.
  • Our database rules stop one customer from ever seeing another customer's data.

No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

Under Indian data protection law you can:

  • Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and whom we have shared it with.
  • Correct and update — fix or complete your details. You can edit your profile and addresses yourself in My account.
  • Erase — ask us to delete your data. We will, unless the law requires us to keep some of it.
  • Withdraw consent — turn off analytics by clearing this website's data in your browser and choosing Decline, unsubscribe from the newsletter by emailing us, or ask us to stop using any data you gave us with consent.
  • Nominate — name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
  • Complain — raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, approach the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email contact@vaydhara.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 85117 45558. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by checking the email or phone number linked to your account or orders. We will respond as quickly as we can, and always within the time the law allows.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Always on (necessary): browser storage for your cart, wishlist, recently viewed items and cookie choice, and the sign-in session that keeps you logged in. The website does not work properly without these.
  • Only with your consent: Google Analytics cookies. If we add any other analytics or advertising tools in future, they too will load only after you click Accept.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser; the banner will then ask you again.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to create an account or place an order for you. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to WhatsApp, Instagram and other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
